Beacon now includes Map Layers
Map layers can be used to separate out map markers into groups that can be shown or hidden from the dashboard map to make it easier to isolate specific features and reduce clutter. When created, Map Layers will appear on both the Web App and Mobile App for users.
To Add New Map Layers to your Agency account (ᵐ):
(This is only available for Managers )
- Go to the Resource Lists menu on the Settings page
- Add the Name, Description and click Create
- Once created, you can also edit or delete map layers
- On the dashboard, display/hide each layer by checking/unchecking the box
Open Weather Map now available in map layers
A set of climate map overlays are available to be used on the dashboard providing additional information to help manage operations and monitoring.
To activate Weather Maps:
- Go to the Dashboard Settings and switch the Weather Maps to On
- On the Dashboard, display/hide the weather layers by checking/unchecking the box for each
- A legend will be shown for weather layers currently displayed
