Arrival Notifications are text messages sent by SMS to a Transport Destination, informing them of the imminent arrival of a response unit with patients or other resources after a responder confirms transport to that specific destination.
Arrival Notifications include the following information:
- The responder’s name and phone number
- The number of patients/resources being transported, and
- Their expected time of arrival
To add recipients to the Arrival Notification list:
- Select the Transport Destination you would like to send Arrival Notifications to by clicking on its map marker
- Click Edit Info button to display the Arrival Notification form
- If a Recipient was previously aded, the information will appear. You can edit this information or add a new recipient.
- Click New Recipient to expand the form
- Enter the recipient name and phone number. (For hospitals, we recommend adding medical doctors, charge nurses, and ED/A&E clerks).
- Click Update Info to save
