Updating the Incident Description
Mobile Dispatchers are also able to update the incident description after the incident has been created.
To update the incident description through the mobile app:
- On the incident card, press the edit icon near the incident description
- Update the incident description as needed and press OK when finished
Once the incident description has been updated all assigned responders are notified via push notification and chat of the update
Updating the Incident Location
Beacon also presents the option to Update the Incident Location if the responder has the correct information at the moment.
To update the incident location through the mobile app:
- On the incident info card, press Update Incident Location
- A map screen will open. Drag the indicator by sliding the screen or, use the search tool to locate a place or address and click confirm.
- Verify and Confirm the Update
- A message will be sent to responders and dispatchers to let them know
Once the incident description has been updated all assigned responders are notified via push notification and chat of the update
Add Responders
Mobile Dispatchers are also able to add more responders to an active incident.
To add more responders to an incident:
- From the Home Screen, press the sidebar icon (not shown)
- Locate the active incident you would want to add more responders and press the + Add button
- From the list select + Add Responders
- A dialogue will pop up. Check the box for the responders you would like to assign to this incident and press Ok
** Additional Notes:
The Select Responder(s) list will display and allow you to select responders according to the priority of the incident.
